Our Story

I started The Mystery Leather Company in 2025.

Alongside working as a magician and mind reader, I began making leather goods with the same focus on detail and handling. What I ended up with is a range of everyday items that are simple, functional, and properly thought through.

There is also another side to it.

For me, magic has never just been about performance. It is about creating something that feels different. Something subtle that stays with people, even if they cannot quite explain why.

That way of thinking carries over into what I make.

The Influence of Magic

Working as a magician has shaped how I think about making things.

In magic, the smallest details matter. How something sits in your hands. How it moves. What draws attention and what does not. Most of the work goes into things people never consciously notice, but they still feel the difference.

That carries over into my leatherwork.

I think a lot about handling. How a wallet opens. How a card slides in and out. How something feels after using it every day, not just when it is new.

I am drawn to simple designs, but ones that are properly resolved. Nothing added for the sake of it, nothing there by accident.

There is also an element of restraint. In magic, you do not show everything. You leave space for people to experience something for themselves.

I approach my work in the same way.

It is not about making something flashy. It is about making something that feels right, and letting the details speak for themselves.

What I make

Everything is made by hand in small batches using premium Italian vegetable tanned leather.

These days, most things are made as quickly and cheaply as possible. Quantity tends to come first, and a lot of the detail gets lost along the way.

That never really appealed to me.

I prefer doing things properly. Slower, more considered, and by hand from start to finish.

Every piece of leather I use is selected, cut, and worked by me in the workshop. No production lines, no shortcuts. Just a focus on making something that feels right to use and holds up over time.

It is a simpler approach, but in my experience, it leads to better results.
